North Manchester General Hospital
North Manchester General Hospital is at the heart of an exciting vision to improve health and wellbeing for local people over the next 10 to 15 years.
A new campus will be at the heart of the community, with joined-up health and social care facilities, high-quality new homes, access to better education and training, and more inviting open spaces.
The development will make a profound difference for the community of North Manchester, creating new jobs, promoting healthy lifestyles, developing skills and contributing to a zero-carbon environment. It will also help to address the longstanding health inequalities in local communities.
Work on the site began in January 2021. The first major phase of the redevelopment will see the construction of a 1,000-space multi-storey car park and cycle hub.

A new residential community focused on keeping people well at home. The housing will be diverse and could include key worker accommodation, social housing, stepdown care, and extra care
New high-quality commercial space with a focus on healthy ageing and providing flexible accommodation
A village green which will be a focal point for the campus and a vital connection to the local neighbourhood
